Appointed National Contact Point (NCP) for Lebanon Professor Mouïn Hamzé, Secretary General of the CNRS National Coordinator and INCO NCP of the European Commission’s, Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)

In order to further consolidate the scientific cooperation between the European Commission and Lebanon, Professor Mouïn Hamzé, secretary general of the National Council for Scientific Research – Lebanon (CNRS-L), was recently appointed as National Contact Point (NCP) of the International Cooperation (INCO) and the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Program (FP7).
This appointment was effected under the mandate of the CNRS-L, in its role as the key establishment to efficiently deal with, and treat, matters related to research, especially in identifying Lebanese institutions capable of partnering with EU consortia applying for the FP7.

The CNRS and Prof. Hamzé are looking forward to playing an active role as NCP towards significantly increasing benefits of Lebanese researchers and institutions within the EU Programs; through establishing and providing many services, outlined below, and providing regular updates of all new developments in this respect:
- Advice on administrative procedures and contractual issues.
- Training and assistance on proposal writing.
- Distribution of documentation (forms, guidelines, manuals, etc.).
- Assistance in partner search.
