The National Council for Scientific Research of Lebanon (CNRS-L) launches the Grant Research Program for universities and research centers for 2024. For the first time since its establishment in 1962, the CNRS-L defines the scientific priorities through a collaborative process involving decision-makers (ministries, major state institutions, etc.) to assess their current and future scientific needs. Through these consultations, the CNRS-L aims to fund projects that address the national challenges, and to encourage policymakers to involve local expertise in public policy planning and decision-making.
Deadline for applications: 17/09/2024
- For scientific and administrative instructions and guidelines for submitting applications, please refer to the following document: Grant Research Program 2024.
- Applications should be submitted by the principal investigator of the project by email to the following address: [email protected] and the submission should include the following documents:
- Administrative information.
- Research project application form (containing the research project description, the requested budget from the CNRS-L and the institutional partner, and the list of personnel).
- Comprehensive CVs of all researchers/staff involved in the project.
- Official commitment from the beneficiary institution, signed by the highest authority.
- Approval for the highest authorities for non-academic members.
- Certificate of adherence to the ethics charter.
- If applicable, written approval of the research protocol by the ethical committee of the institution.
- Checklist.
- The Council provides financial support for research projects for a maximum duration of two years. This support ranges between one billion and two billion Lebanese pounds for the total project duration. For the terms and budget distribution, please refer to the guidelines for requesting fund.
- The scientific focus of the research project should align with the priorities of the 2024 announcement.

- September 17, 2024: Deadline for submitting applications.
- September 20, 2024, to October 31, 2024: Evaluation process.
- November 2024: Announcement of results and contract signing.
- December 2024: Project beginning.

يطلق المجلس الوطني للبحوث العلمية برنامج دعم البحوث في الجامعات والمراكز البحثية لعام 2024. ولأول مرة منذ تأسيس المجلس عام 1962، يكون تحديد المحاور العلمية عمليةً تشاركية يُسأل فيها أصحاب القرار (الوزارات ومؤسسات الدولة الكبرى وغيرها) عن احتياجاتهم العلمية الحالية والمستقبلية. يهدف المجلس من خلال هذه المشاورات إلى تمويل المشاريع التي تستجيب للتحديات التي تواجه البلاد، وكذلك توعية صانعي القرار على ضرورة إشراك الخبرات المحلية في تخطيط السياسات العام واتخاذ القرار.

- يُقدم الطلب من قبل الباحث(ة) الرئيسي(ة) للمشروع، عبر البريد الإلكتروني على العنوان التالي:[email protected]
على أن يتضمن المستندات التالية:
- المعلومات الإدارية.
- استمارة طلب مشروع البحث (تحتوي على وصف مشروع البحث، الموازنة المطلوبة من المجلس والمؤسسة الشريكة، وقائمة الباحثات والباحثين المشاركين في مشروع البحث).
- ملخّص السير الذاتية لكل من الباحثات والباحثين المشاركين في مشروع البحث.
- الالتزام الرسمي من المؤسسة المستفيدة والموقعة من قبل أعلى مسؤول في المؤسسة.
- شهادة التزام خطي بشرعة المبادئ الأخلاقية في البحث العلمي في لبنان.
- في حال انضمام عضو من خارج البيئة الأكاديمية إلى فريق عمل المشروع عليه أن يقدم موافقة خطية من أعلى سلطة في مؤسسته.

- يقدم المجلس دعم مالي لمشاريع البحث لمدة سنتين كحد أقصى، يتراوح هذا الدعم بين المليار والمليارين ليرة لبنانية للمدة الكاملة للمشروع. لمعرفة شروط وتوزيع الميزانية يرجي الاطلاع على مستند إرشادات طلب التمويل.
- يجب أن يكون المحور العلمي لمشروع البحث متلائما مع أولويات إعلان 2024.

17أيلول 2024: الموعد النهائي لتقديم الطلبات.
20أيلول 2024 لغاية 31 تشرين أول 2024: عملية التقييم.
تشرين الثاني 2024: إعلان النتائج وتوقيع العقود.
كانون الأول 2024: البدء بالمشاريع.
