MED-Dialogue

Promoting ICT Dialogue and Cooperation with the MPC towards HORIZON 2020. 

 
MED-Dialogue is a Coordination and support action project which will act as a bridge for a two-way cooperation between the Mediterranean partner countries and the European Commission. This 30 month project is led by IT Consult GmbH, and will support the dialogue between EU and MPC, raise awareness on the Horizon2020 first Calls and assist organisations in the region to increase their participation in the Programme. Also, it will support the preparation of the Horizon2020 work program 2016-17 by identifying the strengths and opportunities in the MPC for mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

The consortium consists of 11 partners come from EU and MPC region. Four specialized SMEs (ATC-Greece, PLANET-Greece, IT Consult-Germany, Sigma Orionis-France) from EU will work together with seven MPC academia, governmental & associations (CNI-Tunisia, PSUT-Jordan, ISGP-Algeria, USMBA-Morocco, CNRS-Lebanon, PALAST-Palestine, MCIT-Egypt) which all play an influential role in the shaping of their National Research & development and Innovation policies.

 

The MED-Dialogue consortium has been brought together based on the ICT research and management and strategy consulting excellence, its ability to reach effectively actors in the EU and MPC IT Industry and ICT research community, and its experiences in addressing ICT strategy and policy issues, both at the strategic and practical level.
The consortium of 11 partners, including the National Council for Scientific Research, Lebanon (CNRS), is working in 6 Work Packages towards achieving the principal objectives of the project: 

 

-WP 1: Support to the EU-MPC Dialogue 
-WP 2: Awareness and Training 
-WP 3: Networking events
-WP 4: Dissemination and Infrastructure
-WP 5: Coordination of Int'l Cooperation Instruments
-WP 6: Project Management

 

MED-Dialogue is expected to:

  • Reinforce the strategic partnerships with key third countries and regions in areas of mutual interest and added value in jointly addressing important issues.
  • Increase visibility for EU ICT R&D activities and research excellence.
  • Support provided for European organisations/individuals in accessing third country programmes.
